Currently it is filled with a few bracelets. Nothing too fancy...
just a little something to raise some money for my little peanut.
If you are new here you might have no idea what I am talking about so let me fill you in.
Meet Bella. She is my 10 month old yorkiepoo baby.
Over the past few months I had been noticing a small limp developing which turned into a skipping gait. She wouldn't bear weight on her leg at certain times, and other times would seem fine.
A few days ago, after the limp became pretty severe, we were told that Bella has a luxating patella.
This requires surgery. A very, very expensive surgery. Upwards of $1,500.00
Ouch, right? I know.
Husband and I can't really afford this surgery, but miss Bella needs it or she is going to lose mobility in her leg, develop arthritis and be in more pain than I want to think about. She is just a baby, and while I said I would never spend so much on a dog's health I have had to eat my words. Anyone with a pet knows how attached you get, and how much joy they bring to you.
So this is where my shop comes in.
The best thing I can think to do is try and raise the money for Bella's surgery while offering something back in return. Right now, I am selling bracelets called "Bella's Bracelets". These bracelets range from 8 to 20 dollars. ALL of the proceeds are going towards Bella's surgery. ANY help I can get from you would be more than appreciated. I did the math, and I need to make at least 200 sales to cover her cost.
Depending on how well it goes, I was thinking of continuing this for others who can't afford their pet's surgery. I have heard from more than one person with similar stories. Perhaps you don't WANT a bracelet, but still want to help my little babe get her knee surgery. You can do that by clicking the donate button below. Every little bit helps. And we thank you so much. Maybe you cannot purchase or donate at this time, which is fine-- you can still help by spreading the word to your friends!
Any feedback or suggestions are welcomed. And THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all the encouraging e-mails surrounding Bella and her medical issues. You guys really are the best!

ReplyDeletemuch love to you guys and bella!

Praying for your sweet little peanut! Thats so hard to watch your furry child suffering.
ReplyDeleteThey're all great, you make it difficult to choose!
ReplyDeleteLove all of them! I wish that I would have thought of this genius idea when my baby had to have his hip replaced...it would have made that bill so much more manageable! Hope little bella starts feeling better soon!!!
ReplyDeletePoor Bella. I donated because I definitely understand to have and love a dog and not be able to pay for the health care they need. Good luck raising enough money. I'll try and send some of my followers this way to help you out.
ReplyDeletePoor little thing! This kind of scares me though! My dog has the same symptoms. One of the vet helpers told us it's normal and nothing to worry about, that it just sometimes happens to little dogs...but now I'm thinking we should go ahead and ask the vet! :-(
ReplyDeletepoor thing - going to peruse now :)
ReplyDeletePoor Bella! I just bought two. They're too cute & I can't pass up such a good cause.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to buy one! Do you plan on making any with an animal theme to them at all? I'm an animal lover as well (I have two mini schnauzers) and I definitely understand where you are coming from. These little rascals can get expensive! Much love to you and your Bella.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I will buy one next week for sure. I am not shopping the month of Oct! Few days left. I love he aqua braid one. Love.
ReplyDeleteJust bought a bracelet and added a link to my latest post! Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm buying a bracelet and spreading the word!!!! Also trying to figure out what other Xmas gifts I need. Do you do custom colors or will you be adding anymore items to the store?! Your stuff is really great, Ashley!!
ReplyDeletePoor puppy :( It's so sad when animals get hurt sick. My cat swallowed a needle with some string attached to it when she was a kitten and it cost my mom $3,200 for the surgery to remove the needle, string, and part of her intestines.
ReplyDeleteI've bookmarked your shop and plan to do some shopping later this week :)
