Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to an incredibly adorable, fashionable, faith seeking and creative girl.
Meet Michaela of Michaela Noelle Designs.
About Michaela In Her Own Words:
I grew up in the Bay Area, California with my beautiful family and adorable golden retriever, Shasta.
Now, I'm pursuing my dream to become an interior designer in Seattle, Washington. I attend Seattle Pacific University and, despite the gray weather, I am in love with my design classes.
When I was researching colleges about 2 years ago, I found myself gravitating to a school that was two states away and would require me to own multiple umbrellas. After visiting SPU's campus and seeing the beautiful brick buildings, I knew it was where the Lord wanted me.
Join me as I trade the sunshine for my umbrella and create my own Happily Ever After.

Let's learn some more about Michaela....
When did you know you wanted to be an interior designer? When I was little I wanted to be everything under the sun. I did have this funny habit of using building blocks and Jenga blocks to build floor plans across my entire carpet. It was a fire hazard. Then when I turned 13 and really began loving art and started to understand what my grandma did as an interior designer, I knew. It was a magical feeling. From then on, I've pursued design in all I do. I'm trying to soak up the knowledge of designers (and moms who have beautiful houses) through blogging, learn from magazines and most of all, following my grandma's advice, "dream big. Don't stop at dreaming though; make those dreams come true by working hard with determination and integrity. Learn all you can so you can be great at what you do. But most of all, do what you love and do it with passion."
Favorite part of interior design? Starting with one thing and building a beautiful, functional space, where a person or a family can enjoy spending time. I love color, pattern, and watching the whole concept come to life.
What has been your favorite design class so far? My hand drafting class! My choice of majoring in interior design was affirmed in this class. I grew up drawing floor plans on kids menus in restaurants when the other kids would do the word searches, so this didn't even seem like work. What type of design do you want to go into once you graduate? I would love to own my own design firm doing residential design. I really love what the home represents to a family, so I'd be thrilled to help people design a home they love.
If you could tell your younger self something, what would it be? I'd say: Your family is the most important thing. Family and Jesus. Friends will come and go. And so will boys. Guard your heart, get wisdom, and in everything, choose joy. Do what you love, follow your passions and don't stress over things that don't matter. Trust in God, stand up for what you believe. Oh, and never wear high top sneakers to middle school. Or your retainer.
Greatest accomplishment in life so far? Graduating high school with a 4.1 gpa was great, and so was getting into the college of my choice. I'd say my biggest accomplishment was sticking out freshman year at SPU, though. It was a rough year with more twists and turns than I ever thought possible, but with my family's help and lots of prayer, I made it through and am so happy I'm still here.
