Friday's Letters

Dear Husband, What do you think the chances are that those two creep-tastic men we saw while hiking the hollywood trail last week had something to do with the severed head found a few days ago? Y I K E S.  Dear Britney, I loved meeting you last night. Sorry if I talked to much or acted like a weirdo. What can I say, blogger meet-ups make this girl nervous. Plus I haven't much real life friend interaction in a while. Dear Bella, When I am going about my business and I look up to see you staring at me from across the room I get really creeped out. (see above photo). Dear Griddle Cafe, with the forecast calling for rain this weekend I think it will be perfect opportunity for husband and I to indulge in your amazing breakfast offerings like Kahlua and Bailey's swirled pancakes and hot chocolate french toast (yes britney, I looked it up, yum!).  Yes and YES. Dear Canon Camera, I can't wait to get my hands on you!  Dear 26th Birthday, you are only 10 days away!  YAY for birthdays!  Dear Husband (who always gets two letters),  I can't wait to see my special surprise for my birthday... you are getting me a special surprise, yes?

Dear Blog Friends, I have a very serious request: A friend of a friend named Matt Johnson is a man who went to Japan on business last week.  He decided to hike and camp last Saturday on Mt. Fuji. A storm blew in and he never reported for work on Monday.  His car was found at the base of the mountain, the snow has been so intense search and rescue teams have had a hard time going up.  By the time you read this he will have been trapped on the mountain in freezing temperature for more than 6 days.  Matt and his family are christians and like me, believe God is a BIG and powerful God.  I sincerely covet your prayers for Matt and his family-- specifically pray that the search and rescue team finds him (there will be more hikers this weekend, so pray that someone sees something).  Also pray that Matt has been able to be resourceful and find shelter and keep himself warm enough to survive this.  I can't say why certain tragedies occur, but I do know that God works for our good.  I also believe that through him miraculous things can happen.  Please take 5 minutes out of your day to cry out for this man and his family. It has been on my mind night and day, and I can't even imagine his families fear, anxiousness and sorrow over this.  Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them".  +For updates on the situation check out the "please pray for matt johnson" FB page, HERE.

  2. So sorry about your friend! I'm praying!

I laughed so hard at the picture of Bella! My cat does the EXACT same thing. I'll be in the living room and she'll be at the top of the stairs staring down on me with her head through the railing. Constantly. It's hilarious yet mildly unnerving.
