Bachelor Viewing Party

Okay, are you ready?  I hope you are ready.  Here we go!

Yesterday morning I woke up planning in watching Bachelor finale in my pajamas, with Bella snuggled up on the couch.  Where I DID end up is nothing short of INSANE.  It all starts with Julie of the Smitten Minton's-- in fact, after you are done here, you should head over there because she was in Vegas last weekend and got to hang out with Jake, a previous bachelor (yes, the one who chose Vienna).  So do that.  But first, back to my story.  Julie follows all of Bachelor Nation on twitter.  And thank goodness she does, because when a producer of the show, Robert Mills, tweeted asking if anyone wanted to come watch the party at Mike Fleiss's house she responded, and he answered!

This is Mike Fleiss, by the way... the creator of the show.

Basically the brains behind the whole franchise. 

He is the one we can blame for choosing Ben this season.

He says he is sorry about that... seriously.  He did. 

Anyways, being the good friend she is, Julie called me right away and asked if I wanted to go with her. (DUH, YES!)

So we both rushed around getting ready and the husband satellite/google mapped the address and took all precautions to make sure we weren't walking into a serial killers home.  Since practically all the bachelor contestants were tweeting with the producer and creator we knew it was legit, but we were still thinking it was too good to be true!    We drove out to Malibu and got there a little early....  I tried to be all James Bond and scope out the house while it was till daylight out.

It was a fail...

We came back at 7:30 and get buzzed into the gate, and of course, we are the losers who are the FIRST people to arrive.  What can we say, we were pumped.  Robert & Mike were the only ones there and they were SUPER welcoming.  They let us know that this is the first time they have ever invited fans to their homes and were just testing it out to see how it went.  They were pleased we were normal and not crazy people.  We were glad we weren't murdered, so it worked out.  They answered all of our questions about this season, past seasons and SERIOUS bachelor show secrets.  We had to swear not to blog about, or repeat some of the things we heard.  Y'all would be shocked, let me tell you.  It was so amazing to get the inside scoop! They also asked our opinion on who the next Bachelor should be and of course we immediately yelled "Roberto!"  and they also asked what we would like to see during Emily's season, which they just began filming for. We loved giving feedback! And Mike's house was pretty much amazing.  Think of any MTV cribs beach homes you have ever seen and you will have it about right.  It was stunning. One other "fan" came but she was an older lady and didn't talk much....so basically it was just us!

Finally, Natlie Getz, winner of Bachelor Pad 1 and Erica Rose, the hilarious girl from Lorenzo's season showed up.

Let me talk to you about the girls for a minute.  They were absolutely, totally the same in real life as they are on camera.  Erica was probably my favorite just because she is SO HILARIOUS. She even felt both Julie and I up and told us our boob size since her "dad is plastic surgeon and I am pretty much an expert on boobs". Seriously hilarious.   Samantha was just as loud as she was on the women tell all, she had some pretty unpleasant things to share about Ben and the other girls including the fact that Brittany did not go home because she didn't like Ben, but rather because she was having major skin breakouts and was concerned about her appearance on camera.  She also let us know that Lindzi of the final two had tattoo make-up and eyeliner (ew) and Courtney, is in fact, a jerk in real life.  Casey S was also there, and she is actually friends with Courtney and kept defending her but didn't deny the fact that Courtney has had some plastic surgery.  Like we all didn't know that already.  Casey was a sweetheart, seriously--- she just moved to LA and that guy who was apparently her "boyfriend" back in Chicago?  They aren't together and she is okay with it, and she is so gorgeous and sweet she doesn't need to worry about finding a perfect man for her.  Also, Natalie Getz was the most down to earth girl ever.  She spent lots of time talking to Julie and really all the girls were so welcoming and included us in their conversations even though we were just "fans" and kind of randomly there!  We found out that had Chris Harrison been in town, he would have been there, Michael S. was going to come and this morning on twitter Tenley & Kipton were mad that they didn't know about the get together because they said they would have come too...  too bad they didn't!

And then, we were sitting there chatting, having a grand old time when I look over to the front door as a dog comes in......... followed by Owen WILSON. I can't describe the reaction I had.... literally I wanted to pee myself and vomit at the same time.  It was just the last thing I expected to see such a huge star stroll in like it was no big deal.  I was so glad I spotted him before Julie because I got to see her reaction when she saw him for the first time.  It was priceless!  We kept looking at each other with huge eyes like CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?! Owen walked around and introduced himself to everyone,  and after he got some pizza came over and nodded at me and smiled so I said "hello, I'm Ashley" and he said "I'm Owen" to which I replied "Um, YEAH.  I know who you are. Don't worry!"  hahaha  He was so mellow and chill and didn't want any attention, was just hanging out like it was a normal thing.  Seriously. Crazy.

It was a beyond amazing night.  I can't even describe how awesome it was.  It really made my time in LA complete--- I mean, you can't beat hanging out with creators of one of your favorite shows, plus contestants and then having a true blue MOVIE STAR come and hang out like its no big deal.  It will definitely be an experience I will always remember!
