I just had to break in from my regular scheduled posting (that is a joke....there is usually no rhyme or reason to this blog, although I have been trying to post a lot of reviews since we love to eat over here....)  I digress.   I need to vent a little.  Our time in LA ends next Friday and we are sitting here not really sure where we are moving next.  No, this is nothing new by any means--- do you remember how we even ended UP in LA?!-- exactly.  So, anyways, here we are, waiting and hoping a good spot opens up.  We don't even care if its somewhere awesome, as long as its the right place where God wants us to be for the next few months.  I have asked for your prayers before, and they have always seemed to work.  So, I am asking again... if as you read this you could just shoot up a quick "Lord, please make the Slater's next job move clear, easy and stress free..." that would be amazing.  Tomorrow I am going to try and get my post up about San Francisco!  And this weekend we are off to St. George, Utah to see friends (and I get to meet the lovely Miss Gentri Lee!)  We have a lot going on.  And I am trying to just breathe through it and not get stressed out like I usually, always do.  Having you guys, and this blog really helps.  It's like therapy, but free.

  10. I miss San Fran so much! We lived an hour away in the valley for 2 years before we moved back to Texas. If you guys stay the night, breakfast at Stacks for the best pancakes!

  20. Oh my goodness I can't believe it's already time for you guys to move! I can 100% relate.... I said a little prayer for you. My husband and I were just reminiscing our move to Florida today. 7 days to move cross country, find a place to live, and unpack is not ideal... but it's possible. I'm sure wherever you end up will be a great experience and work out great for your little family. (:

  29. We crossed the GG for the first time last weekend, we were in the Silicon Valley for my husbands job, he works for Google...and we did a weekend trip to San Fran, it is AWESOME, it's a rad cool city, we LOVED it!!!
    We did Muir Woods when we crossed the GG, it was incredible!
    Have a great weekend and I hope you find out sooner than later where you will be "stationed" next! (i did read about why you travel, for your hubby's job)...and even if you don't know sooner than later, you'll still be OK!
