yes, I have been trying to decide whether to read those books too... but I can't figure out if there is really a plot or if it's just, like, a book about sex. Also, if there is as much sex as everybody says there is, how the heck could they turn it into a movie? Around here, they call that porn...

ReplyDeleteEek hope your pup feels better!! I actually have 50 shades of grey sitting in my car (a friend had it and told me get this out of my house I don't want my kids to see!) She couldn't read it. I think it's probably too raunchy for me as a Christian to read! Am I a prude? I've been weaning myself of sugar (chocolate) this week. It sucks! And I've failed twice. Haha. ReplyDeleteI looked the books up. They do look intriguing. But, just like visual porn is wrong, so is written porn. It takes out thoughts and minds places they should not go, except in the context of marriage.

That pic of Bella is freaking cute! I loooove it, I love her. Hopefully everything is okay. Mila has been complaining about her paws lately when I touch it too hard, she's also going to the vet tomorrow, hopefully nothing is broken there. She had a nasty fall last week.

I've been reading 50 Shades of Grey. I feel like if it had been written by a better author, it would be sexy. But it's moreso awkward and I find myself giggling at the "sexy" scenes (:

What part of MI are you coming to? We're in the South Eastern region, I'm (currently) just the next exit down 94 from Detroit Metro. We're moving about 7 miles the other way (towards Monroe) over the next few weeks.

ReplyDeleteHope Bella is okay! And I have to say I read all 3 fifty shades books because so many of my friends were talking about it. It is not written that well but it has an unexplained addictive quality about it! I still recommend reading it!

I just started reading 50 Shades of Gray so far it's clean, but I'm only 2 chapters in... we'll see how it goes.

I read the whole 50 Shades trilogy in less than a week and it is totally raunchy.... BUT for what it's worth, it's monogamous and it DOES have a story (not the best literature, even if you cut out the sex, but entertaining at least). I think the press it's getting is kind of unfair once you've read the whole trilogy because it's not as immoral as it sounds, but yes, it's raunchy haha!
