Last night I got to meet up with Tim & Kate and take some engagement photos. Kate is my friend from Atlanta, I am talking way back in the days when I was wandering the streets of Atlanta and figuring out who I was. My some stroke of luck, they are living and working in San Jose where we are right now. I am so lucky that I moved and automatically have a friend-- they are so much fun to hang out with and I am really excited that I got to take some pictures of them. Last night was a learning process. I realized that I need to LOOK at the photo I am taking and not just bet that I took the shot I wanted. The 50mm lens offers some tricky focusing issues that I am learning, and as much as I love the bokeh look I am learning that not every photo looks fantastic with the background blown out. We met up pretty late and chased the sun as it went down, but managed to get a few cute shots. Oh yeah, and don't you guys LOVE Kate's dress? I am probably going to steal it from her before we move. :) Love them, hope you enjoy my first ever attempt at engagement-y photos!
