Dear Husband, After such a terrible week (finding out Bell has a torn ACL and needs yet another bank-breaking surgery, that you might have also torn your ACL among other things) I am glad that you are the voice of reason and let me know that everything is going to work out just fine.
Dear BRAND NEW Photography BUSINESS, I did it! I officially launched you and have officially booked photography gigs. Logo is in design and business cards, cd labels and packaging will follow shortly. I hope this is the beginning of a very beautiful relationship.
Dear Blog Friends, Ashley Slater Photography also has
facebook page ! "Like It" if you know...you like it! I would love it!
Dear Bella, It wasn't enough that we spent nearly $2K on your surgery back November? And go through the misery that was trying to keep you from running around during recovery? And now you have to go and tear your ACL so you need another surgery, meaning another recovery time? I don't know if I can take it!
Dear Husband, When you were icing your knee with a economy size package of corn (that had been opened) and spilled frozen corn kernels all over the carpet you were surprised when I started picking said kernels off the carpet and dropping them back into the bag. Hello, do you know me?
Five. Fifteen. Second. Rule. !!!

awww Ashley!!! That STINKS about your puppy!!! Wouldn't it be nice if pets could TELL us when their big expenses were going to hit?! lol as if... :( I wish though!!! Hope everything turns out ok. It's hard to see even animals in pain :( By the way-
ReplyDeleteLOVE your photography page!!!!!!! Congrats on starting it up!!!!! Earlier this year, I was almost ready to give up on my own, just because I felt like everyone else was more creative than me. and I didn't think I could keep it up. but.. I decided to keep at it and challenge myself. And, it's been SO worth it!!! (it's www.facebook.com/snapshotintime if you're curious ;) ) It's exciting to make it all official! All the poor knees in your house :( Hope everyone gets real better for real cheap real soon. Praying!
Love and miss you LOTS!!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about Bella (and you're hubby). One Christmas, I had to take Tex to the animal er because he fell and then wasn't using one leg. He just sprained it, but we weren't supposed to let him run/jump for three weeks. It was impossible, especially with the three feet of snow we had. I hope everything goes well with her, sending positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteAlso, love that you've launched your photography business! I'm impressed and proud :)
Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your dog - good luck with everything!
So sorry about your little pup! :( I linked up too!

Congrats on your new business endeavor!!! It's been a dream of mine to go into photography but for now I need to save up money to take a few classes. Did you take any classes and get a degree? What type of camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteLove your website dear :) And poor Bella...that makes me so sad. Will be praying for her. You are in my Friday's Letters! xo
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry to hear about Bella. I'm sure things will work fine. And congrats on your new biz adventure! That's really exciting!
ReplyDeleteHi! First time visitor here, and was so sorry to hear about your puppy. Our pup tore her ACL last fall too. The vet said that we could do surgery, OR try and keep her confined (no jumping or running) and see if it would heal enough on it's own to stabilize her knee. Well, because it was the free route, we waited it out, and she was able to start using her leg again in a few weeks (although we kept her in a playpen for months). Now, you would never know she had a problem! So all that to say, I'd get a second opinion if I were you, especially since Bella is a small dog (as ours is). Perhaps there's another option besides surgery? Wishing you the best!
ReplyDeleteoh no! i am so sorry to hear about both your husband and puppy's torn ACL's. that is a double whammy. One of my dogs tore his crucient ligament about a year ago and I know what you mean about recovery time. not easy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! So sorry about poor Bella.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your photography business. The website looks really great!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about poor Bella. I completely understand about the horrible task of keeping them still and comfortable for recovery. My Milo had a nightmare recovery from surgery two years ago, wouldn't wish that on anyone. I'm sure things will go very will for little Bella, you know what they say second times a charm :) Sending all positive thoughts!
