This morning I am sitting her trying to get through the remainder of you that linked up for Friday's Letters. There were a lot of you and boy, my hands are killing me from commenting! I love reading all your letters though and I really love being able to host the link-up on Friday's! So while I am doing that, I am going to introduce you to one of my favorite girls. Maybe it has something to do with her name, Punky-- I grew up watching the show Punky Brewster and she kind of reminds me of her! She is cute and spunky and has fabulous hair. What's not to love? Check her out!
In short form, my current sitch goes a little like this: Recent college grad. Single. Ambitious. Started blogging as a means to get over another failed relationship. Moving to New York City this summer just cause. (!!!!)
After living in Orange County for the past three and a half years for school and for work, I dropped everything at the turn of the new year. Everything included: a very lucrative job in Laguna Beach, my entire circle of friends, and a dude was I getting pretty invested in. In the process of all that, I also broke my macbook, got into a car accident, and moved two hours North to my parents' house, only to discover my bedroom had been turned into a storage closet. Oh, and that my old job (that I was certain would give me work), didn't have a position for me to return to. Awesome, right?
Needless to say, this last December/January were not my favorite months. Lost, confused, doubtful, poor, heartbroken... these are just a few adjectives that followed the impulsive decisions I made. However impulsive those decisions were though, they were the right ones. Cause sometimes, even when it appears everything is going well, they aren't. Comfortable doesn't always mean right. In my heart, I knew there were other places I needed to be, other things I needed to experience. And who knows of any period of transition that isn't awkward and filled with self-doubt? The journey from where you are at the moment to where you want to be, is usually never a smooth one. So I am learning. And so I am blogging about!
This July I am moving to my most favorite city ever, and I.cannot.wait.
I hope you'll join me in this new and exciting chapter I am starting in my life!
A few other facts about me: I am now dating George Clooney (surely you've heard of him). And Wes Anderson is my BFF.

Ash - no lie, I had a Punky Brewster themed 10th birthday party. Everyone was required to wear mismatched clothes and wear bandannas around their knees. I'll have to check real life Punky out :)
