Yesterday we headed into San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods to see the Redwoods. I can't even begin to tell you how breathtaking it was to stand among hundred year old beasts of trees that reach hundreds of feet high. It was probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, and in case you were wondering-- YES, I felt like I was in the EWOK scene in Star Wars. Woah, I just mentioned Star Wars on my blog. nerd alert. After that we had dinner and walked around the cute little town of Sausolito and waited until the sun set to get some killer shots of the Golden Gate Bridge at night. After that we drove to a very cool soda fountain/icecream shop (where we met a guy whose grandfather invented long exposure photography. INVENTED!) and then made one last pit stop below the Bay Bridge. I haven't even gone through our pictures yet, the one above was the last shot my husband took and I only edited it so far. (We may have taken 900 pictures...) My husband really has an eye and skill for landscapes and these night time shots. I may too, but I will never know because my butt was in the car with the heater going on blast. (It was only 55 degrees outside...I have officially lost any thick skin I have from Michigan altogether!) Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.
Over & Out,
