| oh hi, just michaela and I chillin' on the front porch |
Dear Friends, I don't even understand how you are all keeping up with your blogs so well, I feel like the summer is literally flying by. I feel like next week I am going to wake up and it is going to be Labor Day! #summerslowdownalready Dear Husband, While my back is still not working correctly, I can at least sit and stand without wanting to cry... good work at physical therapizing me. Dear Bella, It is so cute how you think everyone you meet is your new best friend, who just showed up to shower you with attention, treats and love. Dear Running, after a little break I am finally back up to five milers. However, this is just on the treadmill and I am kind of dreading when I transition to running outdoors again. Please go easy on me! Dear Fall, Is it sad that I am kind of excited for you JUST so I can drink hot apple cider and watch all my favorite TV shows? I think not. Dear Husband, This week was filled with a few trying situations and as usual you were there with sound advice and wisdom throughout it all. Sometimes I am not sure how I got this far without you. You are like an advice superhero. I love you. And finally, dear everyone: sometimes this blog gets away from me, I get lots of comments and e-mails and can't seem to keep up sometimes. I want you to know that today, if you comment I WILL be answering every.stinkin.single.one. Make sure your e-mail isn't set to no-reply though! I just want to take the time to say hello to anyone who maybe feels like I have never responded to them, because each of you girls(and guys!) are so important to me. Okay, enough rambling from me, time to link up!
xo,
ashley
Once again, I am asking that everyone who links up visits at least 5 other bloggers and leaves a comment saying hello. We have so many people participating that it would be overwhelming for everyone to try and visit EVERYONE else, so if we all visit at least five then I think that would be pretty swell :) And don't forget to either add the button or link back here if you add your url!
Glad to hear that you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet on how much love you give to your readers! Even if you don't comment or reply back I have no doubt that you read every single link up and comment. I just think you're fabulous! Have an amazing weekend!
Ashley I want to say that you simply rock. I love your blog and I really think about you after reading your posts. Your post about your struggle with lupus left me so sad, but I love knowing that you are feeling better. Your hubby gets an A+ in my book for supporting you and just holding your hand. Thank you so much for always putting on Friday's letters. I get so much great feedback on my blog each week and you are the cause of it! Thank you Thank you! Have a great weekend:)
ReplyDeleteI too look forward to the fall because I LOVE LOVE drinking hot apple cider. Its so warm and delicious! And I think I prefer my fireplace going than my a/c.
ReplyDeleteI hope your back feels better and outside running takes it easy on you!
Emily at Amazing Grapes
I am SO excited for Fall, too! Apple cider, pretty foliage, awesome shows... Furthermore, as HOT as this summer has been, I hope the Winter is really SNOWY! Not everyone agrees with me, though!
ReplyDeleteOH hey us on the front porch :) So...I'm sort of dreading Fall because I won't have YOU near me! (sorry...I forgot we're not talking about you leaving for another 2 weeks). Here's my letter to running: I hate you, but I'm trying my best...I really hope I don't have asthma. Ha!
ReplyDeletexoxo
When you mentioned fall and apple cider and favorite tv shows I actually got a little emotional. I guess I'm a little hormonal right now or I'm kind of excited about fall too. Weird.
ReplyDeleteYour letter to everyone is so sweet! Glad to know your back is better!
ReplyDeletei'm a new follower and linking up :) i've seen these posts around for a few weeks now, and finally decided to jump on the train. thanks for doing this!
ReplyDeleteSo, the awkward and slightly painful attempts for him to fix your back [while on the floor, laughing and having a dog lick your face] actually worked?! I'll definitely have to remember that. When the hubster gets home, that will be his first assignment.
ReplyDeleteim so with you on the wanting fall to arrive! it's definitely taken summers place as my favorite season..maybe its beacause of the crisp weather, i get to wear my hats, tall boots, and chunky scarves that make me love it so :)
ReplyDeleteI always get a little nervous about running outside when I haven't in awhile. No idea why that is! Lol Hope your back feels better!!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, I totally think we're all in a bit of a blog funk. It's a summer thing - everyone just has so much going on its super hard to find time to religiously commit to posting. Fear not, you're not alone! I've been a slacker too! Haha!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am SO excited for fall. It's my fav season and I'm dying to have a nice big cuppa tea on the back porch, cuddle in a warm sweater and smell the leaves. Amazing. xoxo
Sometimes keeping up with the blog can be a full-time job! I love it though! These letters are my favorite each week! Thanks for doing the link-up!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley! This is my first link up so I wanted to say hi! Thanks so much for hosting - this is such a fun idea :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!!
I haven't been very good at keeping up with my blog lately, so I totally understand! I'm back at it thought and really excited to be back! Transitioning from running on the treadmill to outside can definitely be a challenge, so good luck there! I'll need to be doing the same thing here shortly! And YES, I'm just as ready for fall to bundle up with fires and smores and hot chocolate and so much more than comes with a beautiful Fall season!
ReplyDeleteI'm not an experienced blogger like you, but I do know how it feels to feel like you should be blogging and to not have time. But really, we have to live our life and not be behind a computer screen all the time, right? As much as I love blogging I don't think I will be 80 years old saying, I wish I had blogged more.
ReplyDeleteI just recently found you and am so glad I did! Linking up with you today! I was thinking the same thing the other day....so ready for fall so I can watch my favorite shows. Revenge...I miss you!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I suppose it's a little redundant by now but...I totally love your blog. It's always fun to read :) And fall is my favorite season too - football, cooler weather, pretty leaves, hot chocolate... LOVE it. Hope your back is feeling better soon!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time linking up.. and I just have to say that this is such a FUN idea! I love sharing my feelings as a fun letter to my life and followers. I am your newest follower~

CarissaExplainsItAll
As a newbie slash BABY BLOGGER keeping up with a blog is hard work I tell ya, I mean just when I think of something to blog about I start to consider the.. has it been blogged before?, will it be one of those boring no one cares post?.. Hopefully I could bring something to the table, linking up has been a great way for me to network and introduce myself to other bloggers, Thanks for hosting this awesome link-up Ashley =) & seriously summer needs to slow down, I hope I make it in time for the redwoods this summer, glad your feeling better. I think secretly they are there for Bella ;) Running, not my forte but I have to start sometime again...oh Fall, I can't wait to go apple picking for the first time.. meaning I'm excited for fall too! plus this heat could calm down a little.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading- Blog Snob on ...
http://www.amommasdesiresandpacifiers.com/
I'm really happy to see your making an effort to respond. I've been a reader of your blog since you first started moving to California, and I got hooked & I've read every single one of your posts all the way back from when you first talked about Going to the chapel, the stabbing, all the yummy cooking, fun places you've been, and the moving from state to state, till now. ok enough of my rambling sheesh... What I'm trying to say is your no blog snob in my book.
I hope you have a great weekend.

That cracks me up about Bella! Our dog does the same thing, he thinks everything that we buy is for home, everyone that comes over to visit is here to see him and everything else under the sun! Happy Friday Ashley, thanks for hosting this great link up!
ReplyDeleteI definitely haven't been keeping up with my blog all that well ;) All of my posts this past week have been so last minute.
ReplyDeleteYour Bella sounds so sweet! I wish my dogs were that lovey. They definitely do not like new people,it can be such a hassle.
Your hubby sounds absolutely wonderful - and you guys sound like a match made in heaven :D
Off to check out as many other people's letters as I can!
Don't write me back...you got lots to respond to already...whew! Just wanted to drop by and visit! Love the blog, love the pic and love YOU! Sorry to hear your back is whack! Miss you and hope you guys come our way soon. I gotta meet this Bella....
ReplyDeleteWell, at least Bella doesn't think everyone she meets is a killer out to get you. ;) I THINK that is what our dog thinks, the way he barks like a psycho at people.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Glad your back is feeling better! And it's totally okay to want fall to be here if nothing else but for awesome shows - at least that's what I tell myself haha
ReplyDeleteI accidentally posted the wrong link under #258 but reposted under #261. Not sure if you want to delete #258 or not :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for doing this link up every week. Whenever I'm in a blogging lull, Friday's letters inspires me to post something!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally ready for Fall too. Although I'm just excited to start my Master's for some strange reason.
Now I'm off to find five new bloggie friends! :)
oh my gosh. i just realized i follow you on instagram - found you randomly - and i also follow your blog. crazy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture of you and Michaela! Where are you guys? That house looks beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteAnd sssshhhhh! Don't talk about fall yet! Except I agree and feel like the summer is completely flying by. I don't like it!
I completely agree that summer needs to slow down. I can't believe its already July. It blows my mind. I just love bella- every time i see her on IG i just want to run to the pet store and by myself a puppy. That is so awesome that you are back up to 5 milers... pretty sure i would DIE. This year my goal is to learn to like running.. but hasn't happened yet. I try to do it once a week (i know not that much) but i just enjoy other forms of cardio. Any tips on how to build up to at least run a few miles in a row?? The most I've done lately is like a mile and a half... anyhow happy Saturday ash!
ReplyDeletexoxo
GUH, I know what you mean about summer flying by. My posting has been pretty sporadic, not to mention my ability to keep up with reading all my faves.
ReplyDeleteHow much longer are you in Cali?
