Happy 4th of July y'all! I hope you all have a blast today no matter what you are doing. Maybe you are with that family that will spend three hours in traffic just to have watched 15 minutes of fireworks, maybe you are out on the water somewhere soaking up the sun, maybe you are grilling out and spending time with good friends. If you are anywhere in the country where sparklers aren't illegal (they are banned here in california because of the high burn danger) then please play with them for me. Eat lots of strawberries and whipped cream, sing "Proud To Be An American" in your loudest, most country-esque voice and please take a moment to remember no matter how bad your situation is, that we are free. We can get in a car and drive anywhere we want without being stopped, if we don't have something we are allowed to work to earn money to buy whatever our hearts desire. We live in a land of AC and personal sized cokes-- A country that celebrates diversity and different cultures, a country that in general is pretty accepting. Everyone has a chance to go to college, see the same movies and ride the same rollercoasters at Disney world. And if you are in a situation where you can't one of the things I just mentioned? Well, in America there is always a solution, always someone willing to help in general. Today, if you see someone less fortunate, please think twice about buying them a cold beverage or small meal. Let's really act out what our country stands for today. Freedom & Justice....for all! Everyone have a blast and be safe!
