Sometimes it feels like if it is not one thing, it is another around here.  I knew driving to and from Tahoe and running around doing loads of activities all weekend would leave me feeling exhausted for a few days but really, I can't see to shake the "fog" off.  On top of feeling tired (which really, is nothing new) I seem to have somehow dislocated a rib.  I know, seriously Ashley?  Don't ask me how or when I did this, I just got home Sunday night and suddenly couldn't bend over, breathe or move without being in intense pain.

Of course, my husband is a DPT so he has been trying to work on it a little bit but usually this just results in us laughing hysterically without accomplishing anything.

Scene:  I am on the floor on my stomach, husband is pushing down really hard on different spots in my back.

Me: Hurry up, I don't want to lay on the floor because I am pretty sure Bella peed here.
Husband: You aren't even laying flat.
Me: OOWWW, ARGGG, OOOOOF! I can't because the dinosaur is under my leg.
Husband: *laughing* what?
Me: Bella's dinosaur toy!!!!!

At this point, Bella has heard her name, and come running. She thinks it is play time when we are on the ground, so she starts licking my nose/mouth and I can't move because husband is holding my arms in some strange position and it hurts.

Me: UGHMppppHHHHHH...STOPPPPPPPPPPP!
Husband: *laughing* you are a freak.
Me: Are you trying to hurt me? This is like torture!  People pay you for this?

Husband then lays ON top of my back

Me: OWWMMMEHHMMPPSSHHHHHOWWWWWWWWNN!!!!!  Get offfffffff!!!!!!!!!
Husband: *hysterical* You are the worst patient ever, I quit.

That sort of thing continued on an off for the duration of the Bachelorette.  Needless to say, I still feel the same since I can't lay still long enough to receive any sort of "treatment" from the husband. Oy.  I haven't been able to find a position to sit at the desktop without wanting to cry so Tahoe pictures may not be ready for posting today, unfortunately.    If you want to see a few from the weekend, I posted a handful on Instagram which you can see here.

Until then, have a fantastic 4th of July holiday and I hope to see you back here soon!

  1. Omg dislocated a rib?! How does that happen! Whenever hubby and I crack each others back, I always do his first perfectly and then when it comes time for him to do mine I just laugh and have said "omg I smell dog pee" a million times. I hope you feel better and get some rest!

  9. My friend cracked my back for me the other day, very strange because I've always been the cracker and not the crackee, and he's a lot stronger than me and it felt like he was pushing the air out of my poor little lungs, but it did help my back, so good overall.
I hope you get better soon, that sounds extremely painful! =(
