To say Barbara + Mike made my job easy is an understatement. And talk about a perfect first solo wedding for me. I was nervous, I wanted to make sure I captured every detail the way it should be and do justice to just how beautiful the day was. Thankfully the small details came together, and after a few deep breaths I came into stride. Barbara was probably the most relaxed bride ever--- bouquet missing? No big deal. Mom running late to help put her in her dress? Eh. She was a picture of calm on a usually stressful day. I teared up during the ceremony where they added a very unique touch with a wine box ceremony. The two had written love letters to each other, placed them in an engraved win box with a bottle of wine and two glasses. The pastor spoke about how the box was meant to be opened on their fifth wedding anniversary, but if at any point before that, if the marriage became hard and they were thinking of giving up, to open the box, drink the bottle of wine and read the love letters they wrote to each other on their wedding day. GAH- I AM CRYING WHILE I AM WRITING THIS! I am such a baby. Needless to say, it was beautiful just like these two. I have never met a more humble, laid-back and sweet couple. I am so honored to have captured their day for them, and made seriously sweet friends in the process. Congratulations Barbie & Mike!
Thanks again for letting me be part of your day, I wish you two a lifetime of happiness together!
