Fall has certainly come in Michigan, check out the gorgeous location I took photos at today (above).
I actually taught my DAD to shoot in manual today and he took this shot of me.
I set the white balance, ISO and aperture for him and showed him how to change the shutter speed,
and how to "check the light" and BAM, he had it down!
I have a feeling I am going to be using him for lots of upcoming fashion/outfit posts!

Awww that is super cute! My dad is actually the reason I am just now beginning to shoot in manual. He never, ever, ever has taken a shot his entire life in auto. Won't even touch a point and shoot!
ReplyDeleteSo, sorta the opposite, but sorta the same, this post makes me think about my pops... cause he's the one teaching me right now! It's the perfect father/daughter hobby.
Oh, and PS, that outfit is weekend perfection. Plus, you look like you are about to rock out to some MJ. Thriller, maybe.
Wish I was in Michigan this weekend. My mom said there might be some snow! She's outside of Traverse City so I don't know if it's the same by you. Enjoy the perfect weather!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful location and picture. :) But...I have a question. Do you not feel super awkward asking you dad to take pictures of you by yourself? Haha. Maybe that occurs to me because I am, actually, awkward. But did he pose you or do you pose yourself? Is it weird? Haha. I think it'd be weird. Again, though, perhaps I'm just awkward.
