JUST BUST A MOVE

husband and I (although jonathan is making a weird face) |  my parents
Last weekend I got to practice my indoor photography skills and shoot the celebrating Love In Marriage Event with Kentwood Christian Church. It was a night of dinner, dancing and getting to laugh at a great comedian named Brad Todd.  The night was fun, and a REAL learning experience for me!  Thank goodness for my 580exii is all I have to say!  The night ended when I busted a move (and by bust I move I mean move around awkwardly on the dance floor). I remember when I was just a few years younger and it seemed I could outdance anyone. Now I am just self conscious and feel like a complete nerd.  At least my mom had fun......see photos below. Can anyone say, black mail?

that would  be my dad (top right) working the crowd
and this is where we lost her.... my mom...she's got the music in her soul!
I think I was saying "how much longer is this song on??!  I am out of moves!"
As it turns out, some not so nice person decided to record this and upload it to youtube. And NO, I will not be giving you the link. *dies of shame* Hope everyone is having a fantastic week, Friday is in sight!

  4. Foremost, I now know where you get your good looks from, your parents are very good-looking! And about moving awkwardly on the dance floor, I'm guilty as charged! I guess it's wine that I consume before getting out there -- it gives me confidence. Confidence that I can "bust a move" but in reality, I cannot. Not like I used to in high school when rhythm came naturally. Oh, well. Good thing I don't care too much about what people think of me! As long as I'm having fun! ;)

  9. We went to a friend's wedding this past Saturday, I was actually a bridesmaid in the wedding. And a similar situation happened where my husband decided to record me several times dancing around on the dance floor. Not too bad, but I think my butt looks huge in that bridesmaid dress. LOL

I recently found a love of *real* dancing in a nice (i.e. not club) setting!

P.S. This event was less than a mile from where I used to live! Crazy!

Glad it was fun : )
