Saturday we finally found some time to carve our pumpkins. Husband promised our nephew he would carve Mickey Mouse and I was sort of stumped this year so I just carved a weird face. Not our finest work, but whatever. It was SO BRIGHT outside that day we had a hard time seeing what we were doing. I took a few pictures of Bella...she couldn't keep her eyes open either. It was also 43 degrees so it was weird because going outside it was freezing but then sitting in the bright sun for a while it started to get too hot. Basically, our pumpkin carving time was just uncomfortable. We also found some time to watch Hocus Pocus, drink hot cups of cider and attend our church's Fall Festival where we got to taste test for a chili cook-off, watch the kids do pony rides and hay rides. It was freezing, but very much what late fall in Michigan is like! Here are a few mor of our pumpkin carving photos!

I love the pumpkins! I really wanted to decorate and carve pumpkins but never got around to it. With Hurricane Sandy hitting, I doubt I'll get to. And puppy = adorable!!

ReplyDeleteFun pictures...that second one of Bella...LOVE it! We carved pumpkins this weekend too and we also had trick or treating in our area yesterday which was so fun as it was the first time we took our daughter and she loved it. Great memories!!! Weather was about the same in WI, cold yet really sunny so sometimes uncomfortable!
