Doily Pumpkins via Day To Day Wonderments

Materials Needed: 1 Pumpkin, 4-6 Doilies (Vintage), Liquid Starch (Wal-Mart).
1. Pour starch into a bowl and dip doilies in the liquid starch
2. Place starched doilies on pumpkin and stretch until flat
3. Continue placing doilies until the pumpkin looks they way you want it too
4. Let it dry over night
5. Wipe off excess starch.
6. Enjoy

I think this is the perfect way to bring pumpkins through November. So classy. So chic. So Pinterest.
Also, update:  Jonathan turned down one of the permanent jobs and has one more opportunity with a permanent position in the town we are currently living in. He goes in for a second interview tomorrow morning (or I guess right now if you are reading this....yes I scheduled a post. I know, I am shocked too!) SO, prayers that THIS job works out would be great.  If not, we will be traveling again!

  1. What a great idea! I actually have a bunch of those fake carvable pumpkins from Michael's left over from our wedding. I should do this to a couple of them! Great idea! I will keep y'all in my prayers too. Figuring out where God is leading us especially when it will potentially mean another huge move has to be so stressful. I pray that God wraps you both in his loving arms so you find the peace, comfort and guidance that you've been searching for. xoxo

  2. Those pumpkins are very pretty. I especially like the vignette of the different pumpkins next to the typewriter, you're classy. I'm praying for Jonathan's interview this morning and that you'll both have peace whatever the outcome. I'm praying Philippians 4:7 for you.
