Jonathan and I are more than beside ourselves to finally announce something that we have been waiting and waiting and waiting for! We're expecting! Baby Slater is due to make his or her arrival late August 2013 and we couldn't be more excited/nervous/thrilled/blessed! Looking back on the past year filled with all the struggles and issues we had, its so amazing that we are finally to the point that we can feel a little relaxed and start to enjoy being parents-to-be! The most amazing thing about this is that we weren't really trying (necessarily); in fact I had an exam scheduled to start some genetic and anatomy testing to see if there was a reason we were getting pregnant and not staying pregnant. And more amazing than that? I actually ended up getting pregnant around the same time I got pregnant the first time last year, literally within a few days. It was a little scary nearing the dates when we lost the last one, but bypassing them and getting great reports at the doctor was amazing! The Lord has truly blessed us, and we know that this child is a gift from Him and we can't wait to experience being parents and raise our child to follow the Lord! I'll be writing more about this whole process but today I just am so glad I can finally announce and share our joy with the world! Baby Slater, we cannot wait to meet you!

I have been following you for a while and have read about your pregnancy struggles, so I know that this baby is much wished for, and will be such a blessing in your life. I also know how scary it can be to be pregnant after suffering a miscarriage - my husband and I lost our first pregnancy last summer before conceiving our precious little boy, who is due in June - just a few weeks before yours! I remember sighing with relief at each milestone we passed. I am 24 weeks this week, and still have my days of worry and anxiety. But each time I feel the worry set in, I try to pray and give it all to God. I know that your son or daughter is going to be blessed with two Godly, loving parents and that's the best gift you could ever give to him or her. SOOO excited for you! And will be praying for you and baby Slater throughout this journey. Happy Valentines Day!:)

I was going to the OB for 2 months for ultrasounds and bloodwork to find out what was going on, and then BAM, I got pregnant, when we weren't really trying either.

We tried for quite some time to finally get pregnant but what we went through doesn't even compare to what you two have been through.
