And then the furnace went out.

enjoying the winter with my honey

This morning I woke up to Jonathan whispering "the furnace went out, just so you know".  I woke up and went downstairs and he had already turned the fireplace on so caleb, bella and I could stay somewhat warm.  I can't complain too much-- at least it is not in the negatives today. It's actually 30 degrees and it feels downright spring like if you want to know the truth.  We did well for a few hours, huddled next to the fireplace while I answered some e-mails and sang "the wheels on the bus" ten times in a row.  Finally, the cold started permeating the house and so know we are over at "mimi and papa's" house (jonathan's parents) staying warm!  I had planned to finish editing some ice and snow photos and share those with you today but, our furnace had other plans for my day.  It's in times like this you  just have to throw your hands up and embrace when a wrench is thrown into  your schedule.  Instead of cleaning the house, and starting on laundry like I had planned I got to spend some extra time playing with Caleb and  I know these moments won't last forever so in a way, its a blessing in disguise.  I hear that tomorrow its going to be an even balmier 37 degrees (whoa now, heat wave!) so I suppose if the furnace had to break, now is as good a time as any!    Happy Friday friends, and stay warm!
