Hello, I am Ashley.
I am so glad you have found yourself here at the Sweet Season (formerly Adventures of Newlyweds)! This space is a little bit of everything as you will find-- from recipes, fashion, and spotlights on shops to personal stories and lots of photos of our little yorkiepoo, Bella Louise. If you want to read about the inspiration behind the blog name, click HERE! I began this blog back in the fall of 2010 as a way to document newlywed life and since then it has turned into a constant source of fun and happiness for me. I love being here, meeting new people, sharing my photography and connecting with women who I would never have met otherwise!
I grew up a pastor's daughter in Atlanta, Georgia and thus have an affinity for sweet tea, wrap-around porches and Alabama Football. I live with an auto-immune disease called Lupus, which has caused us to have a few pregnancy struggles along the way. This blog has been an amazing place to connect with other women dealing with the same thing and has opened up an amazing dialogue about the normally "taboo" (but very common) subject of miscarriage. In my free time I lead worship at my church, bake, cook and eat as much as possible and spend more hours than I would like to admit reading Jane Austen novels. I also started my photography business in June of 2012 and I am so excited to see where its going to take me in 2013!
My husband, Jonathan, is a doctor of physical therapy and runs a therapy clinic in Michigan, where we live. Jonathan and I got married the fall of 2010 and embarked on a crazy journey of "travel therapy" where he filled in at hospitals, gyms and clinics on a 3 month rotation. We lived in fun places like Colorado, Myrtle Beach, Los Angeles and San Francisco but are glad to finally be settled back permanently in our home state of Michigan! We are currently hoping to expand our family, but for now our only "child" is our two year old yorkiepoo, Bella Louise.
