  5. San Francisco is amazing, but you should definitely check out Monterey and Carmel in the Monterey Bay. Ohmagoodness, it's amazing. If you're into hiking and whatnot, see Lassen Volcanic National Park/Shasta Mountain/Lake Shasta up by the Oregon boarder. It's breathtakingly beautiful. Aaaaannnnd, a little town called Fort Bragg, California, is maybe four-five hours away from you right now. The town isn't that great [dumpy, old, not much to do] but they're famous for their sea glass that lands on the beach. I cam home with bags full of it. Awesome you all get to travel and move so much! I experience a little of that with the military...currently living in Germany and loving it!!

  6. i was in colorado springs for a summer placement and LOVED it!
    my jay and i are hoping to be placed in california for at least one of his rotations! being from the east coast, i think that would be such a fun experience!
